Between 2023 and 2025, the programme secured 拢1.66 million in SPF funding, with total investment exceeding 拢2.07 million when including contributions from other sources. This investment has been instrumental in starting the work needed to revitalise seven town centres: Buckley, Connah鈥檚 Quay, Flint, Holywell, Mold, Queensferry, and Shotton.

Building on the success of the 2023-2025 initiative, Flintshire鈥檚 Regeneration Team has now been awarded an extension to the programme, securing an additional 拢475,939 of SPF funds for further investment in Flintshire鈥檚 town centres in 2025-2026.

The Town Centre Investment Programme delivers six innovative projects, including two grant schemes that support town centre property improvements as well as local activities and events. These initiatives are designed to drive economic growth, improve town centre aesthetics, and foster community engagement.

Councillor Chris Dolphin, Cabinet Member for Economy, Environment and Climate at 草榴社区, said:

鈥淭his additional funding demonstrates our ongoing commitment to revitalising Flintshire鈥檚 town centres. It is a testament to the hard work of the Regeneration Team and the strong partnerships we鈥檝e built with our communities. We are excited to continue supporting local businesses, enhancing public spaces, and bringing people together to make our town centres vibrant and thriving places to visit, work, and live.鈥
